KITAPON
What is KITAPON ?
KITAPON is a specific ADWINDOW technology of dry re-usable adhesive for projection films. Like a super cling film, KITAPON sticks without chemicals or solvent, does not leave residues, and can be stuck, peeled off, stuck again, and again… without limits. Or it just can stay stuck for years. Beyond the cling effect, KITAPON is thicker and more resistant than any other projection film, and 100% optically clear. KITAPON can be mounted with any of the ADWINDOW films, so you can make a KITAPON version of any of our projection screens.
Originally aimed to temporary installations, KITAPON is now widely used for permanent mounts: having the possibility to remove and re-use any time is a strong advantage to classical adhesive films. It secures the customer and the process, from sales to installation. You can not fail installing, and if you’re wrong, just install it again.
KITAPON is cost effective and eliminates most of the films installation risks. Ever stuck a projection film on a window, and 24h later the project manager want it 10cm more on the right? Or maybe you stuck it on a glass not clean enough and dark dots appears? Or you have a special event in the store and want to recover the full window transparency for one day? You can always unpeel, change your mind and start again.
Key points
- Easy and no-risk installation even for non-professional vinyl installers
- In case of bubbles, wrinkles, wrong positioning or bad cleaning of the backup, just peel it off and do it again!
- Cost effective, secure investment: stick it, unstick it in seconds, store it, use it in another place
- No glue, no residues
- Available for the full ADWINDOW projection films range
How it works
KITAPON is a specially developed material with form memory and micro air cells. When installed with water and pressure on a plane surface, the air pop off the cells and creates a micro suction effect. It sticks like an octopus! KITAPON is not static cling nor classical cling, it’s a truly innovative and efficient adhesive for projection films.
KITAPON is an adhesive layer optically clear. It can be mounted on any of our films versions, it does not change the optical result of your projection films. KITAPON projection films are around 250 micras thick, and are slightly more resistant than classical rear or front projection films.
KITAPON can be installed as a classical adhesive, with a water spray and a rubber squeegee. Please refer to our downloadable Installation Guide or to our video tutorials to install properly your screen.

SHOWI
What is it?
SHOWI is a special built-in finish for using projection films on windows, store fronts and shop windows. In this specific case, when projection is done during the day, glare on the external side of the glass may be a strong issue for picture readability.
SHOWI finish for ADWINDOW rear projection films has been developed for fighting glares and reflections, and make the picture more readable on daylight. SHOWI must be installed on the EXTERNAL SIDE of the glass: it has a built-in ultra-matte anti-glare and anti-reflection finish, that literally kills the glare in the projection area. Depending on the situation, SHOWI can increase by more than 35% the readability of the picture, compared to the same film mounted on the indoor side of the window.
Additionally, SHOWI has a ultra high tack adhesive, and a hard coating layer for anti-scratch and anti-graffiti protection. SHOWI is weather resistant. SHOWI is a true rugged projection film, and can also be installed in areas when durability is necessary.
SHOWI was developped and is manufactured by ADWINDOW.
Key points
- For external use on windows in daylight
- Rugged projection film: waterproof, dustproof, resistant to sun and UV, scratchproof
- Kills glare and reflection in the projection area
- Available for specific ADWINDOW projection films range
How it works
SHOWI is an industrial grade hard coating with ultra-matte finish. When installed OVER the glare, SHOWI eliminates it totally. The ultra-matte finish creates a dispersion of the light on the film surface and avoid the glares and reflections that typically hit glass and glossy surfaces. There is then less visual contamination, the picture appears clearer. SHOWI enhances the picture and give more impact to shop-window digital signage communication. SHOWI projection films are around 150 micras thick.
SHOWI is also a “rugged” finish for projection films: because it was made for installing outside, it is resistant to major risks (weather, sun, scratches…). Its adhesive make it impossible to peel off “accidentally”. SHOWI can be painted with marker or spray, it is solvent and acid resistant for an easy cleaning: don’t be afraid of graffitis, they can be swiped off in a moment.
SHOWI coated rear projection films are installed as for classical adhesive films, with a water spray and a rubber squeegee. Please refer to our downloadable Adwindow Films Installation Guide or to our video tutorials. We recommend the installation to be done by a professional vinyl installer.
FAQ about SHOWI products
- Is SHOWI a special projection film ?
No, SHOWI is only a special finish layer that can be mount on almost any ADWINDOW projection film.
- Is SHOWI an anti-glare solution for TVs or monitors that are installed behind a window ?
No SHOWI is a built-in finish (coating and layers) for ADWINDOW projection films. SHOWI is not a separate anti-glare film.
- Does SHOWI have an impact on the picture ?
No SHOWI is 100% optically clear, it does not change at all the projection film result.
- Is there some tricks for installing ?
SHOWI is a permanent adhesive, so once stuck and dry, it can not be removed and re-used. Consequently, that makes the installation process a critical moment in the SHOWI projection films use. Be sure you complete all the recommended steps as described in our extended Installation Guide.
SEETHRU
What is it?
SEETHRU was born looking for transparency solutions with daylight readable films. When a rear projection film is used on a window or a shop-window, one of the most common customers inquiries are to maintain glass transparency. Transparent or holographic films does not perform really well outdoor or in sunlight, because part of the projected light is lost through the film which is… transparent. At the opposite, opaque films generally perform better becaus of their higher rate of haze and light transmission. But, they are not transparent.
SEETHRU is a revlotionnary rear projection film that put together the “best of both world”. 75% of SEETHRU area is made of our best opaque daylight readable rear projection film, and the remaining 25% are micro-perforated for maintaining see-through vision for viewers behind the film. As an example, on a shop-window SEETHRU is 50% brighter and readable than a transparent / holographic projection film, and people inside the store still can see outside. SEETHRU does not block the view.
SEETHRU was developped and is manufactured by ADWINDOW.
Key points
- For use on windows in daylight or at night
- Special see-through effect with best daylight readability
- Does not block the view from rear side
- Standard for UX BLACK and DARK films, on-demand for other projection films
How it works
SEETHRU is a specific film for corporate buildings windows, store front and shop windows, when glass is turned into a bright digital screen. To create a see-through effect, Adwindow developped a process to make micro-perforations on a permanent adhesive rear projection film. The ratio of perforation / projection surface was done to offer a good picture quality while maintaining the vision through the projection film.
SEETHRU is not a transparent film. Adwindow also offers transparent and holographic films for special effects: please review our HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION page or check our HOLO G rear projection films in our PRODUCTS section. SEETHRU gives a better projection result when ambient light is high, and maintain vision through the material from behind. SEETHRU is not transparent for front viewers.
SEETHRU processed rear projection films are installed as for classical adhesive films, preferibily on dry installation process and with a rubber squeegee. Please refer to our downloadable SEETHRU Installation Guide. We recommend the installation to be done by a professional vinyl installer.
FAQ about SEETHRU products
- Is SEETHRU a special projection film ?
No, SHOWI is only a special finish layer that can be mount on almost any ADWINDOW projection film.
- Is SHOWI an anti-glare solution for TVs or monitors that are installed behind a window ?
Yes and No… SEETHRU is a process for ADWINDOW projection films. But SEETHRU only exists in two versions at the moment.
- Does SEETHRU have an impact on the picture ?
SEETHRU has a similar result to the equivalent STIKI in Dark or UX Black versions, with the little difference due to perforations. SEETHRU must be installed OF-AXIS for avoiding hot spot effects, as for any other rear projection screen with transparency.
- Is there some tricks for installing SEETHRU ?
SEETHRU has a permanent strong adhesive, so once stuck and dry, it can not be removed and re-used. Consequently, that makes the installation process a critical moment in the SEETHRU projection films use. Be sure you complete all the recommended steps as described in our extended SEETHRU Installation Guide.
DRYERASE
What is it?
DRYERASE was developped upon the need for specific requirements for front projection surfaces. In the education and corporate audiovisual integration markets, few rear projection is used, front projection screens are more common. Initially ADWINDOW only produced rear projection films, we saw that education market was in need of a 2in1 solution for having on the same space a whiteboard and a front projection screen, instead of a solution with two separate elements (like the typical white- or blackboard with a screen roll up). This need was reactivated with the increasing presence of interactive projectors or collaborative tools in schools, university, offices or meeting rooms.
Whiteboards are generally made of glossy materials (ceramics, metal, vinyls…), because they are very plane to give a better dry-erase result. Projection screens are usually matt to avoid glares and reflections in the projection area. DRYERASE is a matt material without glare for projection, made with a special polymer coating that give a very good dry-erase whiteboard result.
DRYERASE is basically a coating that can be applied on most of ADWINDOW rear and front projection films. By default, we produce a matt white front projection film with this coating. DRYERASE does not produce glare during the projection, and can be written, wiped off, written, wiped off again and again. DRYERASE last years, and be used for retro-fitting any existing whiteboard or black board surface.
DRYERASE was developped and is manufactured by ADWINDOW.
Key points
- 2in1 front projection screen and whiteboard
- Special coating, no glare when projecting, full dry-erase with water markers
- Resistant surface for repetitive writing and touch solutions
- Can be stick on any smooth surface: chalboard, green board, ceramic, glass, wall…
How it works
DRYERASE has a very specific coating for both matt finish and dry-erase whiteboard. Matt finish is made by creating a dispersion of the projected light onto he surface: direct reflection creates glare, but if part of the light has some diffraction, it eliminates unwanted glare. So the surface is not totally smooth, but at a very small scale it has some “bump” aspect. This asperity is normally not good for dry-erase use, because the ink may stay inside and make the erasing more difficult.
DRYERASE then incorporate a layer of a specific water ink repellent polymer, tha literally prevent the ink to stick on the surface. Total cleaning of the surface is made in a quick swipe.
DRYERASE has a strong adhesive for being used on lots of surfaces, and not only glass.
