The use of communication on store front, shop windows, corporate buildings is increasing rapidly with the rise of digital signage, out of home advertising and dynamic communication. Rear projection appears as one of the leading technology in this area, thanks to its versatility and ease of use.
Rear projection films can turn any window or shop-window in a dynamic screen. The projection film is directly stuck on the glass, projector is installed inside the store and viewer can watch the pictures from outside.

Projection screen readability on daylight or sunlight
The two main issues for an outdoor display or a projection screen on window in daylight are sun brightness and reflection or glares on glass.
Generally, we recommend opaque rear projection films for creating sun readable screens. Opaque rear projection film can transmit up to 94% of the projected light, and give a better visibility than transparent films, if projector brightness is correct. Adwindow also created in 2015 a new product, SEETHRU (enlace a pagina de presentación del SEETHRU, en Patented Products) which combines the best of both worlds: an opaque rear projection film on 75% of the surface for the best visibility, and 25% of perforation for a stunning see-through effect from the rear side. SEETHRU is the first window rear projection film that performs well in sunlight and does not block the view through the window.
Killing glare and reflections on the glass also enhances the picture readability on daylight. Adwindow offers SHOWI (enlace a pagina de versiones), an antiglare / antireflection / antiscratch finish coating for most of its rear projection films for windows and shop windows.
SHOWI rear projection films must be mounted on the external side of the window. It literally kills the glare and give up to 40% more visibility to picture on daylight.
Special feature projection screen: DIPPO 2in1 rear projection film + printed sign
Rear projection films on windows are perfect for creating large screens visible from outdoor. If a daylight use requires high projector brightness, night time projection can be achieved with smaller (and then cheaper) projectors. In this case, to avoid a large useless black rectangle on the window, Adwindow patented the DIPPO rear projection film. DIPPO, for Dynamic Printed Poster, is a patented 2in1 rear projection screen for night time, and printed sign for day use.
The screen can be printed on one side: on day time, this printed sign is illuminated by the sunlight, and act as a normal large sign. When darkness comes, a rear projector send a video to the screen: the dynamic picture appears automatically instead of the printed sign.
DIPPO is useful for large windows areas (100’’ and up), can be multi-pieces, and is strictly for a day-print / night-projection screen shift. DIPPO is targeted to corporate communication on buildings, car dealers, retail and events.

UX BLACK: Premium very high contrast rear projection film. Perform better in daylight. Features ADWSpotless, a special high diffusion layer for virtually no hot spot picture even with short throw lenses.
SUPERBLACK: The same holographic rear projection film, with the addition of a dark transparent layer for deeper contrast.
HOLO DARK :the same holographic rear projection film, with the addition of a dark transparent layer for deeper contrast. A bit less invisible, but it is also a fully transparent rear projection film.
HOLOFRONT: holographic projection film with a reflective layer. Aimed to front projection, and transparency for rear, initially created for outdoor mapping on cristal buildings. Works also in rear projection and indoor.
